All instructors are professionals who have been working in the field for decades, and not only that, they genuinely care and put their hearts into how and what they teach their students. That’s very special.

UPA is some revolutionary folks doing really awesome work. They are arming artists with the information and tools to do it the right way, which is our way. They are an antidote to the depressing industry bullshit that relies more and more on dis-empowering artists and putting the control in the hands of others. There are no other music schools quite like this. These mentors are pillars of their communities and are starting something big that will benefit all of us artists trying to stay true and real and do it ourselves. I feel a shake.

The Ghost Program is an enlightening addition to traditional music production education. Outside of the technicalities of production, you’ll experience the fundamental historical roots of music to innovative forward-thinking purposeful experimentation.

Studying with Todd and Raz through the UPA courses has been a priceless and essential part of my development as a producer, performer, sound designer, mix engineer and as a musician altogether.   Their dedication and passion for excellence as mentors along with their seemingly boundless knowledge can allow committed, hardworking students an opportunity to progress lightyears farther and faster than they would be able to otherwise.

The classes focus on exactly a discipline you want to improve on from synthesis, sampling to sequencing.  The best part is the flexible online environment and 1:1 relationship I’ve built with Todd.  I can ask anything and explore everything.  The classes are recorded so if I need to review a concept, the video is easy access.

Learning from Scotty in ‘Mixing the Hard Way’ has completely changed my approach to not just mixing, but music in general. I left this class with tools to breathe life back into my music and transform my productions from 2D tracks to living, breathing songs. These teachers are top level pros; sharing actually helpful skills to their students & are genuinely invested in nurturing the next generation. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have found this school.

The seminars were relaxed and hyper-informative, and the layout of instruction was done in a way that resonated with me and allowed me to retain far more information than I do in a typical “academic” setting.
